Covid-19 Resources

Like all sports inline hockey has been majorly impacted over the last year by Covid-19. On this page you will find a number of resources regarding returning to activities.

We have worked closely with the Irish Ice Hockey Association (IIHA) to compile standardised guidance. See the sections below for specific guidance related to ROI & NI.

While we share in your frustrations with the restrictions at times, it is important that as a sport/community we comply with them. As we move out of restrictions it is clear that implementation on the ground will come under scrutiny from the wider public.
Keeping sport moving forward (no matter how slowly) depends on the data but also the perception of how responsibly sports clubs treat these opportunities. Photographs and videos that circulate in the media demonstrating any lack of adherence to guidance will be detrimental and may well lead to tighter restrictions or even cessation.

Republic of Ireland - Current Situation

The Republic of Ireland is at a stage now where indoor group exercise, training and competition can resume under normal conditions.

Ahead of returning to activities we have issued the following practical guidance.

    Northern Ireland - Current Situation

Northern Ireland is at a stage where all indoor group exercise, training and competition can take place with appropriate mitigations.
As a guide the number on the rink/court should be limited to 30 at maximum including coaches - it would be the expectation that group sizes are less than this. A risk assessment, as set out in the regulations, must be completed where there will be over 15 people taking part

Ahead of moving to a return of indoor activities we have issued the following practical guidance. It is important any club returning to activities is up-to-date on regulations and guidance.
