Ahead of the new season we are bringing some changes to the pre-game procedure to create a more organised and professional running of games.
- When you arrive at venue check scorekeeper has your correct roster. Mark what players are present/not-present and up date numbers as necessary.
- After previous game has ended (if applicable) the rink will be cleared of all players, etc.
- Referees take to floor first when ready and check for any issues with playing area.
- When referees are ready to start warmup, they will call teams to floor. Teams do not enter the floor prior to this point.
- Scorer starts countdown on clock with time to puck drop, which will be 5 minutes.
- When teams first enter floor, captains are to go greet referees, where they will be reminded of the focus on stick penalties, obstruction and unsportsmanlike conduct, including that players protesting a call is unsportsmanlike conduct.
- Referees will greet team staff if appropriate.
- Horn goes at 1 min left in warmup to warn teams it is ending.
- Game begins.
- At end of game captain is to sign game-sheet and/or agree stats on Rsportz.
As already mentioned there are to be no club pucks on game days. All teams will be provided with 10 pucks prior to warm-up. These are to be returned after warm-up and any missing pucks will be charged.
Please also note that queries regarding minor penalties or minor incidents can be discusses at half-time, end of game or a time-out.
All the best this season!
