League Postponement - Covid-19
To all members,
In light of the Covid-19 developments and taking into account government advice and the decisions made by other sporting bodies on the isle, we are taking the decision to suspend all gameplay over the next 2 weekends, game days affected:
- Sunday 15th March - League 2 - Portadown
- Saturday 21st March - League 1 - Longford
- Sunday 22nd March - League 2 - Portadown
Alternative arrangements for these games will be made in the coming days.
We plan to resume play for the Under 14 game day on 28th March in Longford, although we will continue to monitor the situation and will provide an update as we progress.
We would also encourage all clubs to consider reducing or shutting down training activities over the next 2 weeks.
Please note, this is not a decision we took lightly and can appreciate the disappoint players may feel but a decision we hope will help reduce the spread of Covid-19 to more vulnerable members of our community and reduce the demands on our health services. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
