Tomorrow sees Ireland open their campaign at the World Roller Games versus Chinese Taipei.
The team arrived in Barcelona yesterday and are acclimatising to the heat here, not something most of the players are used to. They had a good skate this afternoon which was followed by a short friendly with Namibia as both teams ran systems and was a positive exercise for both nations.
Tomorrow we face Chinese Taipei in game 1 and we caught up with rookie Andrew Rafter who talked about the teams preperations.
CHINESE TAIPEI
Placement at 2018 World Championships: 15th
Previous Meetings: 7-1 to Chinese Taipei
Despite a wide scoreline last year the game was a very end-to-end affair with Taipei simply capitalising on their chances. We are expecting a side that is fast and direct and hopefully a good game of hockey.
