Inline Hockey Ireland's AGM this year is taking place Saturday 8th June, beginning at 13:30. The AGM will be held at:

All nominations for positions must be emailed to committee@inlinehockeyireland.org by 9pm on Wednesday 5th June. 

To attend the AGM and/or nominate for a position you must be a registered member or a parent/guardian of a registered member.



Executive Positions
All positions are involved in the overall development of IHI and organisation of major events, for example our Playoffs.

Chairperson
  • Oversee the direction of IHI
  • Lead the development of inline hockey in Ireland
  • Ensure the committee is functioning and duties being carried out
  • Assist committee members as necessary
  • Represent IHI at local governing events and international roller sports conferences
  • Ensure that policies and guidelines are up to date and liaise with committee to create new documents when necessary.
  • Lead the implementation of Clubs Contribution to Development model
  • Set the overall season calendar for the organisation

Vice-Chairperson/Legal and Communications Officer

  • Assist chairperson in their duties.
  • Essentially chairperson in their absence
  • Lead Sport Ireland application
  • Ensure that policies and guidelines are up to date and liaise with committee to create new documents when necessary.

Secretary

  • Liaise with insurers re annual renewal and any claims as necessary
  • Liaise with relevant bodies regarding Garda Vetting/Access NI
  • Assist chairperson in overseeing implementation of Clubs Contribution to Development

Treasurer

  • Maintaining up to date accounts
  • Setting a budget to projects based on game fee and registration income
  • Sending and ensuring payment on all relevant invoices
  • Chasing any outstanding invoices from clubs/members
  • Ensure all ‘purchases’ are paid in timely manner
  • Ensuring compliance with company law

Senior Development Officer

  • Organisation of senior competitions
  • Coordinate national men's team
    • Review and appoint relevant coaches and manager
  • Provide assistance to clubs with new senior teams
  • Attracting sponsors to national programme/leagues

Ladies Development Officer

  • Organisation of ladies competitions
    • Organisation of a ladies team in League 2 for 2019-20 season
  • Co-ordinate national women’s development programme
    • Appoint relevant coaches and manager
    • View to have an Irish Women's team competing internationally in coming years
  • Actively pursuing development in ladies hockey
    • Focus on the 20x20 campaign; 20% increase in particularisation & 20% increase in coverage by 2020
  • Attracting sponsors to national programme/leagues

Junior Development Officer

  • Organisation of junior competitions
    • Encouraging clubs to run development days for beginner/U10 players
  • Coordinate national development programmes
    • Review and appoint relevant coaches and managers
  • Encourage and assist new junior clubs - encourage the set-up of Learn-to-Play programmes
  • Assist existing junior clubs where necessary
  • Attracting sponsors to national programme/leagues


Non-Executive Positions

Safeguarding Officer/Child Protection

  • Ensuring clubs, executive committee and others as necessary are aware and follow relevant policies
  • Provide training as necessary
  • Take lead in ensuring all club officials have relevant Garda Vetting/Access NI

Data Protection Officer

  • Ensuring clubs and executive committee are aware and follow relevant policies
  • Provide training as necessary
  • Ensure IHI follows relevant laws

Fundraising Officer

  • Identify potential grants for IHI and clubs
  • Apply for any grants applicable to IHI
  • Assist clubs with grant applications

Multimedia Officer

  • Content creation for social medias (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube)
  • Website content creation


Junior/Senior League Management

  • Management of relevant leagues
  • Organisation of game schedule in line with the overall calendar
  • Ensuring venues are booked as appropriate
  • Ensuring officials scheduler has game schedule
  • Ensuring game schedule is on Rsportz and all stats up-to-date
  • Ensuring all teams rosters are on Rsportz; complete with correct jersey numbers
  • Dealing with minor league issues
